Man, woman found dead in Brampton home deemed a murder-suicide

Police say a 35-year-old man killed a 27-year-old woman and then killed himself in a home in Brampton.
Officers were called to the scene in the area of Eagleridge Drive and Bighorn Crescent around 2 p.m. on Monday.
The man and woman were found dead inside the home.
“I can confirm that the two parties had been in an intimate relationship in the past. The investigation to date has determined that the male deceased in this matter had murdered the female victim and then took his own life,” Insp. Marty Ottaway said on Tuesday.
Police also said the woman was reported missing to Toronto police.
“The female victim had been reported missing to the Toronto Police Service yesterday morning by a friend. That missing person’s case was being investigated at the time that this incident took place,” Ottaway said.
He said Toronto police tracked the victim’s movements through her phone then asked Peel police for help.
Police have since identified the woman as Sharanjeet Kaur and the man as Navdeep Singh. Their causes of death are not being revealed at this time.
