Toronto police are searching for suspects after shots were fired near the Rogers Centre Saturday.
Investigators believe two groups were involved in an altercation around 11:30 a.m. in the area of Front and Windsor streets, one group in a vehicle and the other on foot.
“Shots were fired from a white Mazda sedan which then sped off westbound on Front Street,” said Insp. Norm Proctor. “A black Mazda sedan also sped off westbound on Front Street and was subsequently involved in an accident just north of Front on Blue Jays Way.”
A video circulating on social media appears to show the aftermath of the shooting and the subsequent collision. The person who took the video says it was shot at 11:35 a.m. at Front and Blue Jays Way.
Reports from the scene indicate police have identified as many as 22 shell casings on the north and south side of Front Street near Windsor Street.
No injuries have been reported and police have not released any suspect descriptions.
