Man dead, woman arrested after stabbing in Hamilton

A man in his 60s has died after a stabbing in Hamilton on Sunday.
Hamilton police responded to a 911 call for a person lying outside a variety store on Cannon Street East just after 10 p.m.
Officers found a man lying next to his vehicle with stab wounds.
Police say witnesses who saw the stabbing pointed out to a woman who was responsible for the attack. A 36-year-old woman was arrested at the scene.
The woman will be charged with second-degree murder.
Police are currently working to determine the relationship, if any, between the man and woman. Their names have not yet been released.
The major crime unit is investigating and anyone with information or video is asked to contact police.
This is Hamilton’s 12th homicide of 2020.
