Police probe double shooting in Scarborough

One man is fighting for his life and another has serious injuries after a shooting in Scarborough on Monday night.

Toronto police are investigating a double shooting in Scarborough on Monday night that sent two men to hospital — one with life-threatening injuries.

Police say two men were found shot in the Warden Avenue and Firvalley Court area just before 8 p.m.

One victim, who was shot in the abdomen, is expected to survive.

The second had a bullet wound in the chest and was unconscious when emergency crews arrived. Paramedics said his injuries were life-threatening. In an update on Tuesday, police said the victim is in stable condition in hospital.

Both were treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to trauma centres.

Police say two guns and ammunition have been recovered, but there’s no word on suspect descriptions and no arrests have been made at this point.
