Pedestrian seriously injured in hit-and-run near Lake Shore and Bathurst

A pedestrian is in hospital after they were struck by a vehicle near Lake Shore Boulevard West and Bathurst Street.

Police were called to the area around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Police later said the injuries are life-altering.

The driver fled the scene, but in an update on Wednesday police said they found the driver and placed them in custody.

There is no word on charges at this point.
