Canada-wide arrest warrant issued for Brampton man charged in fatal hit-and-run

Police in Peel Region have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a 25-year-old man charged in a fatal hit-and-run crash last year.
The two-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Hurontario Street and Sandalwood Parkway in Brampton around 5 a.m. on July 3, 2021.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a 59-year-old man from Brampton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the driver of the second vehicle fled the scene, leaving two injured passengers in his car, one of whom had serious injuries.
The driver who fled was eventually arrested, charged and released with conditions. However, police now say he refused to comply with those conditions and his whereabouts are unknown.
Kamaljit Singh, from Brampton, was charged with Impaired Operation Cause Death, Failure to Stop After an Accident Resulting in Death, Operation While Impaired Cause Bodily Harm, and Failure to Stop After an Accident Resulting in Bodily Harm.
