Child’s body found in dumpster at home construction site in Rosedale: police sources

Police sources tell CityNews 680 a body found in a dumpster near Castle Frank Station in Rosedale on Monday is a child, possibly an infant.
Officers say they received a call for a medical complaint around 4:45 p.m., after the human remains were discovered at a home construction site at Castle Frank Road and Dale Avenue.
Police tell CityNews a worker arrived at the site and found the body in a dumpster. The death has been deemed suspicious, but the cause of death has not been determined at this point.

Neighbours say the home has been undergoing renovations and has been unoccupied for a number of years.
The forensic team has set up a perimeter in the area for the investigation.
There has been no suspect information released.
The Homicide and Missing Persons Unit is monitoring the investigation, pending the result of an autopsy.
