Young child injured after multi-vehicle crash in North York

A young child was rushed to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash in North York, police said.

Investigators were called to the Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue East area around 8:30 p.m. following reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles.

A young child was injured and transported to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

No age or gender was provided.

No other passengers were injured or assessed by medics on the scene, Toronto paramedics said.

Police are urging motorists to avoid the area as traffic could result in delays.
