The Toronto Police Marine Unit have found their cat after he went missing early Sunday morning.
Porter, a black cat, was rescued by the Marine Unit six years ago and “has been a part of the family ever since.”
Police say the cat was found by a family who had taken him in, thinking he might have been a stray. Porter was returned Tuesday after “the family found out he was less stray and more free-spirited,” according to a post from the Marine Unit.
The police service said he is free to come and go and usually wanders the area.
Porter’s home!
A family took him home thinking he was a stray. With thanks to all who took time to share, the family found out he was less stray & more free-spirited.
Thank you, all, and thank you to the family for reuniting our @TPSMarineUnit family.#PorterFelineUnit. ^vk
