Toronto man charged with murder in fatal shooting of 23-year-old woman

A Toronto man was arrested and charged after allegedly shooting and killing a 23-year-old woman in August.

On August 18, police were called to 2265 Jane Street, located between Wilson Avenue and Sheppard Avenue West, at around 1:05 p.m. for reports of a shooting.

The victim was declared dead at the scene in the underground garage. She was later identified as Daniella Mallia, 23, of Toronto.

Mallia was the 42nd homicide victim in Toronto this year.

On Friday, police arrested 33-year-old Dylon Dowman of Toronto. He’s been charged with first-degree murder.

Dowman virtually appeared in court earlier today.
