14-year-old cyclist seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in Mississauga

A 14-year-old boy is in hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike in Mississauga.

Peel police were called to the area of Hurontario and Burnhamthorpe roads around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday for reports that a pedestrian was struck by a car.

Investigators determined a young male cyclist was hit in a parking area.

Paramedics tell CityNews a 14-year-old male was transported to a Toronto hospital with critical injuries. Police later confirmed the injuries were serious but non-life threatening.
