Man suffers life-threatening injuries in early morning downtown shooting

A man is in hospital fighting for his life following an early morning shooting in downtown Toronto.

Police say they were called to an area outside a nightclub on Church Street just south of Front Street near the St. Lawrence Market, just after 2 a.m. Saturday.

When they arrived they located a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

There is no immediate word on suspects at this time.
