A man is in hospital after being shot in the head at an apartment building in Scarborough early Friday morning.
Police were called to a building on Lawrence Avenue East, near Orton Park Road, around 4:45 a.m. for reports that someone had been shot.
Officers located a man inside the building suffering from gunshot wounds.
Paramedics confirm a male victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say the victim is now in stable condition.
An investigation is ongoing. No suspect information has been made available.
