Blue Jays announce new Rogers Centre upgrades for 2024 season. Here’s what’s coming

By Lucas Casaletto

As a follow-up to the $300-million Rogers Centre renovations that Blue Jays fans are experiencing, the organization previewed three premium clubs that will be introduced in time for the 2024 season.

A Blue Jays spokesperson said the new premium clubs would be located beneath a “completely reimagined lower bowl,” connected to the best seats in the ballpark, with entertainment experiences. This includes a personalized level of service and a private members entrance with in-seat dining.

The Blue Jays noted that capacities would be limited and available as full or multi-season memberships.

“The types of entertainment experiences fans are looking for have evolved dramatically since Rogers Centre opened in 1989, and our ballpark currently has among the fewest premium experience options compared to MLB and other entertainment venues in Toronto,” said Blue Jays President and CEO Mark Shapiro.

“The next phase of renovations will introduce more of the amenities we know Blue Jays fans want — compelling premium experiences that uniquely cater to the Greater Toronto Area.”

The Blue Jays said that current season ticket members have first access to the new premium clubs, and those fans will receive information from their dedicated account manager.

Here are the details of the three new premium clubs.

This will be behind home plate and on the third base side of the stadium.

The Blue Jays say this area is for “passionate fans to enjoy an authentic — yet elevated — sports bar atmosphere, punctuated by direct views over the home dugout and into the Blue Jays batting cage; design and décor feature memorabilia and tributes celebrating the team’s greatest moments.”

Self-explanatory.

From all access to exclusive, the Blue Jays said the Home Plate Club is the best that Rogers Centre offers with an unprecedented culinary experience, prestigious best-in-ballpark, “In-Action” seats, and the only membership with access to all three clubs.

The third premium club is behind home plate and on the first base side. It’s described as a private and intimate atmosphere with Blue Jays baseball as the backdrop, where fans can proudly host colleagues, family, and friends.

The largest of the three new sections, the Blue Jays said fans could seamlessly flow between work and play with an expanded culinary menu, live preparation chef’s table, in-club entertainment from pre to postgame, and a professional ambiance for hosting.

Various new projects and Rogers Centre renovations will be phased in over the coming two or three offseasons, focusing solely on the facility’s interior.

The reimagined outfield saw the addition of multiple new social spaces with patios, drink rails, bars, and viewing platforms. New $20 outfield district tickets now give fans access to the new outfield areas.

The Blue Jays enter Tuesday’s road game with a 10-7 record, including a 4-2 record at the Rogers Centre.
