You can soon take the GO Train from Toronto’s Union Station and visit Niagara Falls.
Premier Doug Ford announced that as of Saturday, May 20, GO Train service will increase between Union Station and Niagara Falls, with additional express service between Hamilton, Burlington and Toronto.
On Saturday, weekday service to Niagara Falls will increase by two daily roundtrips. Weekend service will increase by one daily roundtrip, for 21 roundtrips per week. GO trains will also resume service to St. Catharines, Ont., VIA station.
Four additional weekday peak express trips are being added in each direction on the Lakeshore West line for more travel options between Hamilton, Burlington and Toronto.
Premier Ford said the expanded service will promote tourism and economic growth in the Niagara region.

“Whether it’s building roads or highways, expanding our subways or transit service, our government is building the transportation infrastructure our economy needs to reach its full potential,” Premier Ford said on Friday. “We’re keeping people and goods moving.”
The Ford government said weekend GO train service will have unique seasonal bike coaches, providing passengers with the opportunity to bring their bicycles to explore the 56-kilometre Niagara River corridor.
Transit riders across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) can now use debit cards to pay their fare as the Ontario government looks to expand the payment option to Toronto in the coming months.
The PRESTO system now accepts debit card taps on GO Transit, along with several municipal transit agencies, including in Hamilton, Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Oakville, York Region and Durham Region.
The province is working with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to introduce both credit and debit payment options this summer.
