Peel police charge teen in robbery and firearm offences in Brampton

Peel police have arrested and charged a 17-year-old with robbery and firearm-related offences. 

On June 28 at approximately 4:30 p.m., a robbery occurred in the area of Clark Boulevard and Craigleigh Crescent in Brampton.

After investigators identified a suspect, a search warrant was conducted at a Brampton residence on June 30 which resulted in officers locating a .40 calibre handgun.

The teen has been charged with robbery, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, knowledge of an unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order and breach of house arrest

He is held for a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

The Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a young person and, therefore, the identities of those charged in this investigation are protected.
