Police release photos of suspect in TTC bus brick attack

Toronto police have released images of a suspect in a frightening brick attack on a TTC bus at Dufferin and Eglinton during morning rush hour on Thursday. .
Officers responded to the intersection at around 9 a.m. for reports of an assault on a bus.
Police say a man became involved in a dispute with passengers on the bus. He then exited and armed himself with bricks.
“The man returned to the bus and threw the bricks at two passengers, striking one of them in the head,” police said in a release Thursday evening. “One passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say the suspect fled the scene on foot.
He’s described as Black with short hair. He was last seen wearing a beige sweater with a small yellow logo on the front and a larger logo on the back with the words “Adventure Awaits”, khaki pants, beige and pink Nike shoes and glasses.
“Like everyone, we are concerned about this incident and our thoughts are with the victim at this time,” a TTC spokesperson said. “The safety of our customers and employees remains our top priority, and we will, as always, give TPS our full support as they work to bring the suspect to justice.”
The TTC said it’s introduced several new initiatives to improve safety, including more street outreach, security and mental health support.
