Man charged, others wanted in shooting outside Vaughan sports bar

One man has been arrested, and two other suspects are wanted in what investigators believe was a targeted shooting outside a Vaughan sports bar.

York Regional Police were called to a plaza parking lot near a sports bar on Interchange Way near Highway 7 around 1 a.m. on Sept. 10 for reports of gunfire.

Investigators arrived and found blood at the scene and shell casings with evidence of shots fired. A victim was not located until later when police learned that a 20-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds was recovering at a Toronto hospital.

His injuries were non-life-threatening.

Police identified multiple suspects in the shooting and, on Sept. 21, executed a search warrant at various residences, where a firearm was seized. One day later, officers arrested 23-year-old Seirra Fray-Cairns of Toronto, who was charged with accessory after the fact.

Arrest warrants were issued for two additional suspects.

Police shared an image of 20-year-old Danta’e Gordon of Toronto, who is wanted on multiple charges, including the use of a firearm in the commission of an offence, discharge firearm recklessness, and possession of a loaded firearm, among other related crimes.

Dequon Lemonious, 25, of Toronto, is also wanted on charges including possession of a prohibited firearm and possession of a loaded firearm, among other related offences.

The vehicle of interest is a 2019 to 2023 white Acura RDX. Photos of the car were shared by police.
