Man shows up at Toronto hospital with life-threatening gunshot wound

Toronto police say an investigation is ongoing after a man arrived at a local hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Officers were called to the hospital just before 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Police said the male victim in his 20s was then transported to a trauma centre by ambulance.

Paramedics tell CityNews the victim suffered life-threatening injuries.

In an update shared on Tuesday morning, police said it’s believed the shooting happened in the Finch Avenue West and Martin Grove Road area in Rexdale.

No suspect information has been released.
