Photo released of subway sex assault suspect

Toronto police are warning the public about a man they say sexually assaulted a 21-year-old woman on the subway last Tuesday.

Around 9 p.m., the accused boarded a westbound train a few stops west of St. George and sat next to the woman. It’s alleged he then sexually assaulted her and fled at Royal York station.

Police have released a photo to help identify the suspect.

He is white, about 35 years old, five-foot-eleven, with a medium build and short, black hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a green jacket and a black and white striped shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-2200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
