Man dead, woman injured in Markham shooting

A shooting outside a restaurant in Markham has left one person dead and sent a second person to hospital.
Emergency crews were called to the scene outside of a noodle bar on Highway 7 near McCowan Road just after 11 p.m. Thursday.
A man was found suffering critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman was rushed to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses told police they saw a motorcycle speeding off from the scene.
Police are asking anyone in the area at the time with dash-cam video to contact them.
