Construction worker hit by car on Highway 427

A construction worker was rushed to hospital with serious injuries Friday morning after being hit by a car on Highway 427.
The man, said to be in his 30s, was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital with a serious leg injury after he was hit by a Ford Mustang around 6 a.m. in a construction zone on the northbound collector lanes at Dundas Street.
The worker was opening some construction lanes to traffic when he was hit.
The collision prompted a four-hour closure on the northbound collector lanes in the area.
There’s no word yet on what caused the collision or if there will be any charges.
