Man arrested after issuing threats, forcing hold and secure at Port Perry high school

Durham police said a 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged after he emailed a series of threats to a high school in Port Perry, Ont.
On Monday, police were forced to evacuate Port Perry High School after a a threat was made to school officials.
The nearby HS Cornish Public School was also placed in a hold and secure as a precautionary measure.
The Durham District School Board said the hold and secure at HS Cornish was lifted shortly thereafter and police helped staff with a controlled exit of students.
On Wednesday, police arrested 40-year-old Joshua Kimble of Peterborough. In connection with the incident, Kimble has been charged with mischief and conveying false messages.
Anyone with additional information is being asked to contact investigators.
