Police say man stabbed after confronting car vandal in Scarborough

Toronto police say a man was stabbed early Friday morning after reportedly confronting a vandal on a Scarborough street.

It happened around 2:42 a.m. in the Moraine Hill Drive and Cass Avenue area.

In a tweet, police said the suspect was seen damaging a car.

He was confronted by a man and during the ensuing interaction, the suspect stabbed him and fled the area.

Police located a male victim who was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

He’s expected to survive.
