York Regional Police vehicle flips in King City crash

A York Regional Police officer was taken to hospital with minor injuries after his vehicle flipped in a crash with another car in King City on Monday afternoon.

Police say it happened at around 3:50 p.m. on Dufferin Street, south of Wellington Road.

Both the police vehicle and the other car involved flipped over.

The occupants in the other car, a male and female, were hospitalized with serious injuries.

Police could not confirm if the cruiser was engaged in a pursuit at the time of the crash.

Area roads have been closed for the investigation.
