Man critically injured in Richmond Hill crash involving snow plow

A man is in critical condition following a head-on crash with a snow plow in Richmond Hill.
York Regional Police (YRP) officers were called to the Bayview Avenue and North Lake Road area just after 1 a.m. on Wednesday for reports of a two-vehicle collision.
YRP officers arrived at the scene and observed a small white hatchback had crashed head-on with a snow plow.
The driver of the hatchback was transported to a local hospital, where police said his condition deteriorated. He remains at a trauma centre with serious injuries.
The snow plow driver remained at the scene and was not injured.
Police said the investigation is ongoing. They’re urging any witnesses or those with information to come forward.
