The confines of BMO Field have indeed proven friendly for Toronto FC, but the many roads of Major League Soccer have been anything but. And the road woes continued in a major way Saturday night, when FC suffered a 3-0 thumping at the hands of the New England Revolution.
Andy Dorman scored twice for New England in the 13th and 81st minutes, and Pat Noonan was responsible for a marker in the middle when he tallied in the 33rd.
Toronto is 4-7-1 following the loss, a total that puts them one point out of fifth place in the East. FC plays its next five games on the road while BMO Field is used for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup. Up next is a Canada Day tilt with the Kansas City Wizards.
