Cops Find Weapons Stash In Brampton After 15-Yr.-Old Allegedly Fired Shot At Durham Officer

A strange incident that started with a police officer being shot at in the dark in Durham has ended with the discovery of a huge cache of ammunition and weapons in Brampton.
The drama began just after 10pm Monday night, when an officer was called to a possible break and enter at a vacant home on Concession Road 8 in Pickering.
It was a routine call until the 22-year-old cop reached the address, turned up a long driveway and turned on his spotlight to look for anything out of the ordinary.
He quickly found it.
Out of the darkness, he spotted a person standing near the home turn in his direction, point a long gun at him and pull the trigger.
The cop saw a muzzle flash and heard the sound of a shot, but luckily wasn’t hit.
He immediately identified himself and the suspect surrendered, along with three others who had been hiding nearby.
Their investigation into the quartet soon led them to an address in Brampton, where a search warrant turned up 16 firearms – including rifles and shotguns, 1,500 rounds of ammo and what police describe as a “large quantity” of ammunition reloading equipment.
The men involved are facing a variety of charges, including possessing a loaded firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
The other bizarre aspect of this case is the age range of those involved. The oldest is 47. The youngest is just 15.
Cops allege the youngster was the one who fired the shot at police. He’s also been charged with aggravated assault.
