We just may need to be told twice: famously modest Canadians have been ranked number one by Maclean’s magazine.
And in just what category did the weekly publication find we came out on top (so to speak)?
“The notion that we’re better lovers than the French, better lovers than the Italians, you know, the romance countries” is rewarding, beams Maclean’s reporter Jonathon Gatehouse.
“Funnily enough, the people that seem to have the most sexual partners are the Austrians,” he adds.
The United Nations Human Development Index ranked us third, with Iceland in first place and Norway in second.
But there were other categories up for inspection, including how hard we work (we work the fourth-hardest) and how much money we have (more than the Americans).
When CityNews went out to find what you like about the Great White North, we got a variety of responses:
“I think it’s our multiculturalism that makes Canada great,” claims Shenise Matherson.
“You took my answer!” her friend laughs.
Everybody’s different; we’re courteous and kind; and yes, we’re great in the sack.
