Man Charged With Murder Following Stabbing, 401 Crash

A man has been charged with first-degree murder following the death of Ayan “Denise” Osman, 28.
Osman was fatally stabbed in an apartment on Dixon Road on June 29. Officers were called to the home around 2:30am. Osman was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was multiple stab wounds to the torso.
Later that same day, a man was seriously hurt when he was hit by a truck on the eastbound lanes of the 401, near the 427. The man had reportedly crashed his car before the vehicle struck him.
That man is now charged in Osman’s death.
Joey Shepherd, 26, of Mississauga, is accused of:
- First Degree Murder
- Aggravated Assault
- Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
