Landmark six-millionth Honda rolls off Alliston line this week

It’s now six-million and counting at the Alliston Honda plant, with the landmark Canadian-built car rolling off the line this week.

To mark the occasion, Honda Canada has donated a new Civic sedan to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston, which will be auctioned off to raise money to renovate the operating room.

Honda says almost 400,000 vehicles are built at the Alliston plant every year.

In 1986, the company became the first Japanese automaker to manufacture its vehicles in Canada.
