A 15-year-old boy is in hospital after what Toronto police are calling a drive-by shooting in Rexdale on Monday night.

Police got a call of shots being fired in the Jamestown Crescent and John Garland Boulevard area just before 8 p.m.

Paramedics say the teen suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was taken to hospital, where he remains.

Police have yet to release any suspect descriptions except to say a black car was seen fleeing the area.

It’s the second shooting involving a teenager that police are investigating. Earlier, a 17-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen in the Jane Street and Finch Avenue West area, just over six kilometres from the Jamestown shooting.
