Orillia teen charged in fatal Mississauga crash granted bail

An 18-year-old Orillia man charged in the deaths of a Mississauga woman and her two-year-old son was granted bail Wednesday.

Evan Campbell appeared in a Brampton court to face two charges of criminal negligence causing death and one charge of criminal negligence causing bodily harm.

Around 2 a.m. on Nov. 1, Campbell was allegedly driving a Hyundai north on Mavis Road when his car broadsided a Nissan at Burnhamthorpe, with a couple and their young son inside.

Thirty-one-year-old Khushbu Aroro and her son Prakrit Dogra were killed. Saket Dogra, 33, had life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.

Police arrested Campbell on Tuesday.
