2 killed in crash involving transport truck at Hurontario and Matheson

Two people are dead after an early-morning crash in Mississauga.

It happened just after 5 a.m. Wednesday on Hurontario Street, just north of Matheson Boulevard.

The crash involved a car and a transport truck.

Paramedics said a man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene.

Both victims were in the same vehicle.

Hurontario was closed in both directions from Barondale to Matheson for the duration of the morning. The area reopened completely just before 2 p.m.
