2 injured, one critically, in Brampton house fire

The Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate a house fire in Brampton that critically injured one woman and sent a firefighter to hospital.
The two-alarm fire was reported in the area of McVean Drive and Ebenezer Road, near Queen Street and The Gore Road, at approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Paramedics transported two people to hospital, one woman with life-threatening injuries and a man with minor injuries.
Photos from the scene showed heavy clouds of smoke surrounding a three-storey home. At the time, residents were advised to remain indoors and avoid the area.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
