Mall Hours Extended Until Christmas Eve

Christmas comes but once a year, and so does the traditional crunch time. It’s the make-it-or-break-it day for those who absolutely, positively left things to the last minute. It’s not actually the last minute yet, but you can see it from here.
But if you’ve been to a mall that’s about all you can see.
The latecomers are out in force blocking every aisle and taking what they can get as the deadline looms closer.
Everyone seems to have their own reason for leaving things so late.
Elizabeth Williams likes the challenge. “I’m a frantic shopper. I love leaving everything till the last moment.”
And she’s not alone. It’s estimated seven and a half million Canadians will be doing some last minute shopping this weekend. A Visa survey claims the majority of them are – surprise – men!
But the guys disagree. “I’m just waiting for my wife while she’s finishing off last minute shopping,” reveals Brian Davenport. “They don’t plan it well like us.”
Then there are those who will go that extra mile to finish their tasks. Or make that many, many miles. Just ask Ray Boutcher. “I came from Vancouver to do our Christmas shopping in Toronto,” he outlines. And probably to get away to better weather.
And then there’s Abwoa Agymeang. She’s finished her yearly chore, much to the enmity of those around her. “Yeah, I’m done. I got that stuff out a long time ago,” she states.
Which kind of makes you wonder why in the world she’s back at the Eaton Centre on the last weekend before December 25th.
If you’re one of the many who still haven’t made their list and checked it twice, here’s a look of some of the major G.T.A. mall hours over the next few days.
