Homicide investigation launched after 2 people found dead inside Richmond Hill home

York Regional Police have launched a homicide investigation after two people were found dead inside a Richmond Hill home on Monday.

Officers were called to a residence in the area of North Lake Road and Bayview Avenue just after 11:30 a.m. yesterday to perform a wellness check.

Two people were found dead inside the home, police said.

The incident appears to be isolated and there is no threat to the public.

Investigators are working with the coroner to determine the cause of death, and a post-mortem will take place in the coming days.

This incident is separate from an ongoing investigation into the deaths of three people at a Richmond Hill home last week.
